Position Overview:
The Cloud Infrastructure NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for a U.S. client. This includes servers, virtual machines, cloud storage, load balancers, and other cloud infrastructure components. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues and coordinating with other IT teams to resolve any problems that arise.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the cloud infrastructure for performance and availability issues using cloud monitoring tools.
- Respond to cloud incidents, troubleshoot problems, and escalate to higher-level support when necessary.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to resolve cloud infrastructure issues, including server and application support teams.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on cloud infrastructure components, including firmware updates and configuration changes.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from security tools, including intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
- Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a cloud infrastructure network operations center or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies, including virtualization, cloud storage, load balancers, and network security.
- Experience with cloud monitoring tools, such as Amazon CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Google Cloud Monitoring.
- Knowledge of firewall and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The Cloud Infrastructure NOC Technician will play a critical role in maintaining the cloud infrastructure for a U.S. client and ensuring the availability and performance of business-critical systems. They must be able to work well under pressure, communicate effectively, and have a strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure components and security.
